I completely agree with you that the magnitude and importance of Mary is extremely downplayed in the common understanding of Mary vs the deeper meaning and role of the spiritual connection between her and Yeshua, and just her by herself! Together, I see them as the physical manifestation of the Divine Feminine/Masculine alchemical marriage and union similar to Shakti/Shiva, that had to happen spiritually and internally first. To me, I also feel she is associated with the energy of the Divine Sophia, as she truly sought and gained a deep grasp on the wisdom of the truth she was seeking.
